globe Lawson launches Asia South operations!

Dear valued friends of Lawson,
a

Lawson Software has opened its first office in New Delhi, India and we’re really excited about how this allows us to reach out to our customers through our most valued partners.

We had previously already been serving our customers in India through a successful relationship with Symphony Services, but we now have greater opportunity to draw on the expertise of more local partners.

We really look forward to forging more successful relationships and providing sales and marketing support via our India office, which really underscores Lawson’s belief in the potential of the ERP market, and our commitment to customers and partners in the Asia South region.

David Hope

The India office will look after our growth in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Most importantly, the opening of this office will bring Lawson and our industry-specific enterprise software closer to our customers in Asia South, particularly mid-tier companies including those in the food and beverage, fashion, and distribution industries.

Kamal Sharma, our newly-appointed President, Asia South will be most delighted to answer any of your queries. You can drop him an email at kamal.sharma@sg.lawson.com.

We are also happy to report that we are entering our fourth quarter fiscal 2008 from a stronger position – Lawson just reported an 11% year-on-year increase in Q3 revenues.

The month of March turned to be an exciting time at Lawson, led by our top executives who were at our Customer and User Exchange (CUE) 08 event in Las Vegas.

CUE was characterized by a whole slew of exciting new products such as Lawson Smart Office, Lawson QuickStep Government and Lawson Talent Management.

With Smart Office, Lawson brings together Microsoft productivity, mobility and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Groove, with Lawson enterprise applications and business intelligence capabilities.

The Lawson Talent Management suite capitalizes on Web 2.0 technology by enabling employees to promote their company’s open positions through their social networks via a Facebook widget.
