A modern maintenance organization is built upon knowledge. A large amount of information needs to be maintained and made readily available to operational personnel.
This information includes equipment details, spare parts and component data, technical information, modification history, documents, manuals and drawings, and permits or lock-out/tag-out details.
Surveys have clearly demonstrated that about half of the time spent on breakdowns is actually preparation, including looking for technical documentation and finding spare-parts information. This is precisely the focus of the Lawson Equipment and Component Control Module–to provide operational personnel with direct access to data, quickly and easily.
