- Lawson Software Hosts Business Software Event in Cairo
Lawson Softwaretoday is hosting a gathering for business software and technology leaders in Cairo. The event, being held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo, will include presentations by Harry Debes, Lawson president and CEO, Ehab Osman, chairman of Accentia Middle East, and Samir Alwani, managing director for Accentia Middle East. Accentia is Lawson's exclusive channel partner for the Arab Middle East states and focuses on sales and support for the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System. The Lawson M3 system is designed around the needs of companies in manufacturing, distribution, equipment service management & rental, fashion, and food & beverage industries.

- Lawson Software and Dubai-Based E3 Participate in Middle East Healthcare Event
Lawson Software today announced its participation in a significant healthcare event in the Middle East. In conjunction with its regional channel partner, Dubai-based E3, Lawson is taking part in the event entitled "Middle East Healthcare at a Crossroads." This event will feature Harry Debes, president and CEO for Lawson, and Bill Hill, vice president EMEA Healthcare for Lawson. It will also feature regional leaders in healthcare, including executives from the Ministry of Health, representatives from the World Health Organization and Muwaffa Lahham, CEO of E3. Currently, E3 serves as the exclusive channel partner for Lawson healthcare solutions in the Middle East. The event, which is co-sponsored by IBM will include presentations from IBM and Stephen Lieber, CEO for the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).

This week at its annual EMEA channel partner conference in Spain, Lawson Software discussed the success and opportunity available through its global channel partner program. Lawson relies on channel partners to supplement Lawson’s resources or make Lawson available in specific geographic regions where Lawson may not have a corporate presence. In addition, partners provide additional value to Lawson’s key vertical markets—including healthcare, food production, distribution, fashion, equipment service management and the public sector—with the partner’s own industry-specific expertise.

- Saytel Becomes Channel Partner for Lawson Software in Spain
Lawson Software, a global provider of enterprise software solutions, today announced a partnership in Spain with Saytel Servicios Informáticos S.A., a company specializing in technology solution integration for optimizing business processes. The alliance agreement, signed during the fourth quarter of Lawson’s 2008 fiscal year, will help promote Lawson’s geographic coverage and penetration of the Spanish market, where Saytel occupies an important position.

The 33-year old Austrian begins in his role with Lawson effective immediately and will begin working on developing sales leads with Lawson’s reseller partners in the region.
