Lawson Expands Partner Network in Italy by Signing Agreement with Tacris
Lawson’s Italian office opens new sales and distribution channel with Tacris’ team of professionals who have significant experience with Lawson M3 ERP solutions
MILAN, Italy, January 3, 2007 – The Italian office of Lawson Software, a global provider of enterprise resource planning software, is expanding its network of partners in Italy with a new distribution agreement signed with Tacris, a new player in the IT sector.
Founded in early 2006, Tacris is an IT consulting firm consisting of a team of professionals with in depth expertise with Lawson M3 enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions geared toward manufacturing and distribution companies. Under the new partner agreement, Tacris will initially handle the distribution of the M3 solutions in northwest Italy (Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria and Aosta Valley) and then throughout the entire country.
For Lawson, the partnership with Tacris represents another step forward in setting up a network of certified business partners. The indirect channel, consisting of both system integrators and local players, is an important means through which Lawson hopes to reach mid-market companies across Italy. To provide support to its partners, Lawson has also set up a specific support and training program.
“The competence Tacris has demonstrated in our ERP solutions was one of the main factors that led us to enter this partnership,” said Marco Marchesi, sales manager for Lawson in Italy. “In addition, the company possesses good cross-functional abilities in various markets and knows specific vertical markets that Lawson traditionally addresses inside and out, such as the manufacturing industry - especially in the machinery, and the fashion industries.”
“Many of our consultants already knew how good the Lawson solutions are and how serious the company is,” said Gianluca Stefanucci, chairman and chief executive officer of Tacris. “This gave us a major advantage, since right from the start, we showed that we had the skills needed to manage projects with M3. At the moment, we already have seven certified consultants. Furthermore, from our experience, we can tell that the solutions Lawson offers to medium-sized companies are competitive and that there are good growth margins.”
