Signing Contracts and Expenditure Commitments
Lawson employees are required to review both Lawson’s Delegations of Authority and Policy Governing Contract Preparation, Terms, Signing and Retention (“Lawson’s Contract Signing Matrix”) before any commitment is made on behalf of Lawson. The Delegations of Authority provides information on authorized expenditure commitment levels within the company and the Contract Signing Matrix provides information on who may commit Lawson to any contractual obligation. A "commitment" by Lawson includes the execution of any written agreement or any other verbal or written undertaking that obligates or binds Lawson in any respect, whether or not it involves the payment of money. Examples of commitments include providing software or any services.
Lawson employees should review the “Lawson’s Contract Signing Matrix,” and the Delegations of Authority document are located at the employee portal under the heading “Corporate Compliance.” The Contract Signing Matrix describes the location of standard contract forms, the review and approvals required before signing any contractual commitments, the persons who are authorized to sign on behalf of Lawson, and the records retention for those contracts. The Delegations of Authority describes authority levels for customer contractual terms and expenditure commitment authorization levels.
