World’s Largest Manufacturer of Wheel Systems Experiences Increased Operational Efficiency and Production with Lawson EAM
Lawson is pleased to announce the successful go-live of its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution at Trelleborg, one of the world's largest manufacturers of wheel systems. The implementation was completed on time and will see the solution being used by over 50 users across Trelleborg's operations in Sri Lanka to streamline the company's operations in the area of asset management.
In addition to Sri Lanka, EAM has been deployed at the company's operations in Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. To date, EAM has been successful in reducing the company's stock levels by USD 2 million and has improved delivery times by 30 percent at Trelleborg's operations in Europe alone.
According to Jagath Parera, general manager at Trelleborg Lanka, Engineering & Maintenance in Colombo, "By using a highly scalable solution like the Lawson EAM solution, Trelleborg Lanka can now capture extensive maintenance operation data. This will help us to improve the operating efficiency of equipment by tracking, analyzing and reducing downtimes—an absolute necessity."
The Lawson EAM solution has also enabled real time data availability on plant equipment maintenance operations in Sri Lanka, resulting in proactive execution of scheduled maintenance activities and thus reducing downtime. Other benefits Trelleborg Lanka has experienced include:

- Increased utilization as well as improvements to deliveries by eliminating unwarranted equipment failure, resulting in greater customer satisfaction
