How Does Lawson M3 Automotive Support Production Planning?

Lawson M3 Automotive contains functionality for both rough-cut and detailed production planning.

Lawson M3 Automotive can process simultaneous rough-cut planning for several machines with user-defined periods, work centers and work center capacity. It also considers calendar entries such as scheduled stops. You can also perform simulations using parallel scheduling. Rough-cut schedules are accessible which means that they can be loaded with customer orders or stock orders. User-defined selection criteria for orders are simple to set for detail planning.

In Lawson M3 Automotive, all requirements on all levels are dynamically calculated during order entry. This information is always available for detailed planning. Lawson M3 Automotive lets you select orders with common attributes for joint production using user-defined criteria. Trimming is performed manually or in an external trim system, using preset client/server connections to Lawson M3 Automotive.

You can change routings and materials generated from information in the order. The order can also be partially produced or reallocated. Smaller orders with common requirements can be grouped into larger production runs. This simplifies production reporting, because operations are then reported against the original customer orders. Rework and rewinding of semi-finished or finished products can be managed from inventory and production.
