M3 Technical Document Management (TDO) provides extensive options that can be used to define technical documents using numerous coding and identification features. Within TDO, a technical document may include manufacturers’ manuals, drawings, parts lists and so on.
Technical documents can be linked to various areas, including equipment, positions and service definitions. Revision control is also an important part of document management, as is the ability to control the location of and references to documents throughout an organization.
An electronic copy of a document can even be viewed. This brings the document direct to the end user, while at the same time minimizing the risk of damaged or lost documents.
