M3 Sales Quotations manages the complete quotations process, from responding to a customer request for quotation to the creation of sales orders, and follow-up of reason for lost and won quotes. Follow-up dates, validity dates and user-defined activities help to keep the process on track.

Managing sales quotations requires about the same amount of information as managing actual sales orders. For instance, information about prices, discounts and product lines, including product configuration capabilities, has to be available when creating a quotation.

Learn from Experience
In order to manage and follow up released quotations, activities for sales calls and letters have to be scheduled in advance and you must be able easily to convert quotes that have been won into sales orders. By tracking the reasons for both won and lost quotes, your organization will learn from its own experiences.

M3 Sales Quotations uses the same components as M3 Sales Orders. In addition, it has full access to prices, conditions and products to make the quotation process secure and rapid. M3 Product Configurator is available for simulation and quotation of customer-specific products.

The completed quotation can be sent to the customer via letter, fax, EDI or the Internet. Activities and dates can freely be defined to keep track of open quotations. When the result of a quotation is known, the reason it was won or lost is logged using quotation reason codes.
