Hjellegjerde ASA is one of the largest manufacturers of upholstered furniture in Scandinavia. Founded in 1941, the company today has 535 employees. With production units in Norway, Lithuania and Thailand, the Group manufactures lounge chairs and sofas, which the company distributes throughout Europe and the US. Hjellegjerde has 2,000 distributors and 60 percent of its turnover is generated outside of Norway. The Group’s annual turnover is EUR 64 million.
