Stelton A/S

Stelton was founded in 1960 with the purpose of selling stainless steel hollowware like platters, salad bowls and so on. A design policy was formulated in 1963 when cooperation between the leading Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen began. The basic idea was to create a true line of tableware where correlation of design between the individual items would always ensure harmonious table settings.

Three times Stelton has been awarded the "ID-prize" by the Danish Design Council and a number of Stelton products are exhibited in, for example, The Museum of Modern Art and The Cooper-Hewitt Museum, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Victoria & Albert Museum and British Museum, London; Staatliches Museum für angewandte Kunst, Munich and Kunstindustrimuseet, Copenhagen.

The Stelton range of high-quality design products in stainless steel and ABS plastics currently consists of more than 175 articles, many of which are considered classics like the Cylinda-line ashtray and the vacuum jug designed by Erik Magnussen.
