Kingfisher Holdings Ltd. was founded in 1972 as a manufacturer of canned fresh tuna under the brand name "Kingfish". Since then, the company has diversified its product lines into a range of premium frozen seafood, canned seafood and pet food, as well as the manufacturing of cans. Over the past 30 years, Kingfisher has earned a reputation worldwide for premium fish and marine products, and received the Asia Pacific Award for Outstanding Exporter in 1993 and the Prime Minister's export award in 1995.
