Glud & Marstrand

Glud & Marstrand was founded in Copenhagen in 1879 when plumber Poul Glud started producing metal goods for household use with hardware dealer Troels Marstrand.

Today Glud & Marstrand is Scandinavia's largest supplier of metal packaging, and is among the largest in Europe with five factories in Denmark and one in Sweden. The company exports goods to more than 30 countries.

Glud & Marstrand develops, produces and sells metal packaging primarily for meat, dairy products, fish, vegetables, confectionery, beer, tobacco and shoe polish. In addition, the company develops decorative tins for a wide range of products outside the food industry. The company is the main supplier of metal packaging to the Danish food industry.
