Lawson Software Strengthens Regional Customer Support across Asia Pacific

Singapore, January 14, 2011 – Leading global ERP Software company Lawson Software announced that it is further strengthening its customer support organisation in Asia with expanded support coverage across the region and a new executive appointment of Xi Peng, Lawson Support manager for Lawson Asia based in Shanghai, China. In his regional role, Xi Peng will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with Lawson customers while ensuring they receive timely, quality, and focused support where ever they are based in the Asian region. Reporting to the Asia Pacific director of support, Mark Witty, Xi will be managing the Asia-based support team across Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. He will also be working closely with the support and development teams in Manila, Philippines. Of Lawson’s 1100 direct employees in Asia Pacific there are now over 60 employees dedicated to customer support based in the region.

 

Xi Peng joins Lawson from Oracle Asia pacific and earlier at PeopleSoft where Xi Peng was part of the pioneer team to set up the Philippines team in Manila with recruitment and new hires mentoring. He was also one of the first in Oracle to achieve certification in Oracle Diagnostic Methodology which is used as a generic structured problem solving approach across all products and support centers and standardizes the way in which a support organization can significantly improve customer satisfaction together with issue resolution efficiency.
