Hillsborough County Public Schools Goes Live on Lawson Talent Management

Nation’s eighth-largest school district uses Lawson applications to help support teacher effectiveness initiatives across all grade levels

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 29, 2010 –Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in Tampa, Fla., has successfully completed the first phase of a multi-step deployment of the Lawson Talent Management suite. This deployment, which includes the Lawson Global Human Resources and Performance Management applications, will help the school district reduce the time required to manage and maintain core HR processes. It will also help establish measurable performance indicators to better develop and retain high potential employees. Lawson made the announcement during the HR Technology Conference & Expo, which opened today in Chicago.

 

HCPSis the eighth-largest school district in the United States, with more than 12,500 teachers educating more than 190,000 primary and secondary students in 248 schools and 60 learning centers. The district will use Lawson Talent Management to help support its seven-year Empowering Effective Teachers (EET) project, which aims to ensure that every classroom is supported by a highly effective teacher. HCPS’s adoption of the Lawson solutions was made possible by a $100 million education grant awarded to the district by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

 

Hillsborough County Public Schools is among the first Lawson customers live on the latest version of Lawson Talent Management (version 3.4).
