Financial Controlling Lab
This four-day course aims to help you understand internal (cost) accounting as well as purchase, distribution and product costing, and how to effectively use Lawson M3 to support your internal (cost) accounting processes.

By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and principles of internal accounting in Lawson M3 and its integration to other modules and processes, such as procurement, distribution and production
- Apply your conceptual understanding of purchase, distribution and product costing in order to build cost models in Lawson M3 and then to create and process orders using your new models
- Follow up and analyze the results obtained and gain an understanding of the process flows
- Retrieve and review product cost-related information as well as trace costs without generating excess paperwork or reports.
What Does This Course Cover?
In this course you will learn how to generate logistical-and production-related financial entries using the Lawson M3 Financial Controlling application, which includes:
- The concepts of
Internal accounting
Purchase costing
Distribution costing
Product costing.
- The Lawson M3 workflow for
Internal accounting
Purchase costing and purchase accounting
Distribution costing and distribution accounting
Product costing
Production accounting and order costing.
This course also includes an introduction to Order Fulfillment accounting and Supply Chain Execution accounting.
Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for personnel responsible for purchase, distribution and product costing and/or internal (cost) accounting It is also suitable for personnel who want a better understanding of Lawson M3 Financial Controlling and its integration with the Lawson M3 business processes.
To fully benefit from this course, we recommend that you have:
- Successfully completed one of the Lawson M3 Learning Camps
- Basic understanding of the item file and product structure file in Lawson M3
- Successfully completed at least the Financial Management Introduction and Financial System Configuration parts of Lawson M3 Finance.
