Cloverleaf High Availability
High Availability of Healthcare Systems
Access to healthcare information is a critical component to providing quality patient care. But access to this data may be jeopardized by power outages, failed hardware, and operating system failures.
Successful healthcare organizations closely consider system designs and implementations to achieve the highest possible degree of availability.
Achieve Continual Access to Vital Healthcare Systems and Data
Cloverleaf, configured for high availability (HA), helps assure you of continuous system availability. Cloverleaf Availability offers 3 configuration options:
-
Active/Passive — In this configuration, there is a primary instance of Cloverleaf actively handling requests and running services. Then there is a fully functional instance of Cloverleaf in "standby," simply there as a backup in case the primary instance fails.
-
Active/Test — In this configuration, you have 2 instances of Cloverleaf running services, a primary and a secondary. The primary instance is hosting production sites and the secondary is hosting test sites. The secondary is available to host both test and production sites if the primary instance fails.
-
Active/Active — In this configuration, you have 2 instances of Cloverleaf running production services. They are redundant instances acting in unison. In the case of a failure on one of the instances, the other simply picks up.
