Automatic Document Capture

Lawson M3 Automatic Document Capture (ADC) is an application that optimizes the processes of exchanging documents between enterprises and managing documents within an organization.

ADC digitally captures invoice documents, either by scanning them or capturing them through a fax server or as an e-mail attached document file, such as a PDF, XML or JPEG.

The ADC application then “reads” the image and extracts relevant information from the actual document. The information is then automatically transferred to Collaboration Applications, thereby eliminating the need to manually key in data. At the same time, the application creates an image of the document that can subsequently be electronically distributed.

ADC: A Focus on Supplier Invoices

ADC is designed to make the supplier invoice process more efficient. This results in a dramatic reduction in the cost of managing invoices. This is possible for several reasons: more efficient utilization of data entry resources, decreases in the number of human errors and lost invoices, ease in finding fake invoices, optimized use of cash discounts and preventing penalty interest on overdue invoices.
