Attribute Control
- Lawson M3 Attribute Control (ATC) enables companies to use attributes as a complement to item numbers. ATC is the optimal solution for all environments with graded products. It supports the grading process from supply, through warehouse activities, to order fulfillment. Since ATC supports attribute-based stock and statistics, it is also a natural complement to the Lawson M3 Product Configurator, which mainly supports the dynamic design of a product structure.

Diagnostics Management
- Lawson M3 Diagnostics Management (DIM) provides tools designed to support a reliability improvement program. DIM allows a detailed breakdown of an equipment's structure, which is used to identify potential failure points within equipment or other operational unit and its associated components and subassemblies. The potential failures can then be linked to maintenance routines designed to avoid an actual failure. Criticality rating and consequence analysis systems, together with user-definable statistics, help support the diagnostics decision process.

Maintenance Performance & Costing
- Lawson M3 Maintenance Performance & Costing (MCM) provides a suite of standard and user-definable analytical tools for processing maintenance data. Statistics include mean time between failure (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), and resource-based analysis such as available hours versus planned hours and used hours. Much of the statistical information is summarized upwards to the higher levels of the equipment structure, which provides the opportunity to analyze information at, for example, equipment, line and factory levels.

Work Order Processing
- Lawson M3 Work Order Processing (WOP) consists of generated requests that originate from predefined services or user requirements. These requests can be automatically released to become work orders, as in the case of many predefined services and breakdown requests. They can also be directed for approval or for further estimation and planning. At the work order stage, WOP features a variety of options to manage and re-plan work. Other Lawson M3 applications interact extensively with work orders in areas such as spare parts and purchase management. Once completed, the job details are reported, approved and the work order is closed. The details are then available for historical and statistical inquiries.
