| Huron Consulting Group (Huron) was formed in March 2002 by a core group of experienced financial and operational consultants and currently has over 1,300 professionals. Over 850 of our professionals specialize in providing operational, financial, and performance improvement for universities, colleges, academic medical centers, research institutions, teaching hospitals, and health systems. In October 2004 Huron began trading as a public company with common stock on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol “HURN.” Huron was named No. 4 on Modern Healthcare’s list of Largest Healthcare Management Consulting Firms in 2008. Our team specializes in using Lawson to support the Research and grant-funded enterprise, including the implementation of the Lawson Grant Management application and associated components: project accounting, indirect costs and fringe benefits, billing and revenue recognition, accounts receivable, payroll, procurement, labor distribution, and salary commitments, effort reporting, and business intelligence. We worked with Lawson for more than two years to design and build the Lawson Grant Management application. In the healthcare and education environment, change is relentless. Successfully implementing new systems has never been more difficult. Sponsored program administrators are managing increasing volumes of research with less staff. Federal regulations and submission requirements are becoming more complex; at the same time competition for new grant funding is increasing. Huron’s clients benefit from a team with more than 30 years experience in the healthcare, research, and education industries. We serve more than 50% of the top teaching hospitals and more than 80 of the top 100 research universities. Our experience in working with academic medical centers, research institutions, hospitals, health systems, universities, and other not-for-profit enterprises gives perspective on the success factors for these organizations. We work on a regular basis with institutions across the country to resolve significant business challenges. Our industry focus and depth of experience allows us to give clients our full attention and provide highly skilled and experienced resources to each project. Our professionals know more than the Lawson applications – we understand our clients’ business. | |
