Confidential Information

Information is the lifeblood of any business. Open and effective dissemination of information is critical to Lawson’s success. However, much of the information concerning Lawson's business activities and customers is confidential and proprietary, and its use and disclosure are restricted. Confidential information may belong to Lawson or to its customers, business partners or suppliers. Confidential and trade secret information may include, for example, software and documentation; product, marketing and business plans; financial and pipeline information and forecasts; customer and prospect lists; contract and pricing terms; employee records; compensation and benefits information; employee lists; merger and acquisition information; information provided at company employee meetings, and other business information. Safeguarding this information is everyone's responsibility. To protect this information, it is Lawson’s policy that:
  • Confidential information may be used only for the lawful and legitimate needs of your job with Lawson or the Lawson community.
  • Confidential information may be disclosed within Lawson only on a need-to-know basis.
  • Confidential information (paper or electronic) must be clearly marked as “confidential” or include a statement regarding the restrictive use of the document.
  • Confidential information may be disclosed outside of Lawson only when required by law or when necessary to further Lawson's business activities (provided the disclosure is properly authorized by Lawson or the owner of that information, and made with a proper nondisclosure agreement). Product that has not been made generally available ("Non-GA") is specifically covered by this section and non-GA product must be handled in accordance with Lawson’s Product Roadmap Disclosure Policy.
  • Non-Lawson employees, who have access to confidential and/or proprietary Lawson information via extranet sites, must change their network logon IDs in accordance with Lawson’s current ITS system security policy. Information regarding the current ITS system security policy will be available on the support extranet site under “ITS Security.”

These confidentiality obligations continue in effect after an employee, consultant, temporary worker, contractor, or business partner no longer has a relationship with Lawson.
